VALMEYER CUB SCOUT PACK SIGN UP / INFORMATION NIGHT for boys in the 1^st through 5^th Grades – THURSDAY, AUGUST 21 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the School Cafeteria during the Valmeyer School Open House. MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR THE B.O.S.S. VALMEYER HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL ALUMNI GAME, to be held on Friday, August 22 at 6:00 p.m. All VHS alumni are welcome. There is a $10 fee to play, and in addition to all the fun you will have, you will receive FREE sore muscles and a FREE T-shirt. Donations will be accepted from spectators. Reservations are now being accepted for the St. Mary Parish Center in Valmeyer (now under construction) for events planned June, 2008 and later. The Valmeyer Village Board of Trustees has authorized the formation of a committee to begin planning festivities and events for the Centennial of the Village to be celebrated during 2009. Anyone interested in serving on that committee and helping to plan the festivities should contact Laurie at Village Hall. THE NEXT REGULAR MEETING OF THE VALMEYER CENTENNIAL COMMITTEE WILL BE ON THURSDAY, AUGUST 28 AT 7:00 P.M. AT THE LIBRARY.

SAVE THIS DATE – SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 1 – THE VALMEYER CENTENNIAL COMMITTEE HAS ANNOUNCED PLANS FOR THE FIRST ANNUAL “VALMEYER CENTENNIAL SPOOKTACULAR” – A Halloween Dance to be held at St. Mary Parish Center with music by Fountain Creek Band from 8:00 p.m. to Midnight. Costume prizes will be awarded in several categories. Snacks will be provided. NO ALCOHOL can be brought into the Parish Center. Tickets are $10 each and are on sale NOW at Mike’s Convenience, Valmeyer Village Hall, First Bank in Valmeyer, and State Bank in Valmeyer. This event is sponsored by the Valmeyer Centennial Committee to raise funds for Valmeyer’s Centennial Festivities in 2009.
